Bio
for Ronnie Dean
Christian
artist Ronnie Dean's musicial
career is literally a dream come true ,
and he
remembers the dream very clearly . At the time, the Seattle native had
just returned
home from a stint on the road with a country band called
Fifth Wheel
and he felt he was headed down a dead end street . Dean felt
worn out
musically and spiritually when , in his words he had "an
incredible
dream ." He dreamt that Jesus took him from his sleep.
Together
they went to a mountain top , where Jesus told Dean that he
was about
to see "all the gifts that had been given him , and that all
the things
that Ronnie was going to see he could do ." Jesus asked Dean ,
who had
tried his hand at many things including work as a prison guard
in Walla
Walla, Wash ; what he really wanted to do with his life .
The young
man replied that one of the things he thought about doing
was to
be a woodworker . Jesus then showed Dean other pictures .
" The very
last picture in a long line of occupations was one of me
sitting
on a stool with a guitar , playing my own music ," Dean Says .
It was
truly a life-changing experience . Dean awoke with a start from
the dream
, with a new sense of peace and purpose . He wrote a song
about the
experience right away , then launched into a lifelong study of
the Bible.
Dean has now fulfilled the two-sided prophecy of that dream .
He is one
of Nashville's most sucessful woodworkers , doing inhouse
restortation
of 17th-through 19th-century antiques . Dean is also one of
the brightest
lights on the Christian music horizon . He has remarkable
talents
. Dean's musicial influences are as varied as his own gifts . He
cites Earl
Klugh , George Benson , Wes Montgomery , Phil Driscoll and
Michael
W. Smith as some of his personal favorites . Dean is an
accomplished
guitarist and vocalist . He wrote , arranged and
produced
his
latest project , "A Thief In The Night ," . It is evidence
of his
truly amazing gifts . Yet Dean , who has founded his own World
Wide Web-based
label called, Spirit Records is a man on a spiritual
mission
." I am a stylist , " Dean says ." I don't sound or play like
anybody
. This project is about the end of time and I am trying to
bring as
many people to God's rig ht
hand as possible ."
Enjoy the
